Allow Nurses to Chart Medications Before Dispensing (Admin Preferences )

This setting allows nurses to record (chart) medications on the treatment sheet even if the medication has not yet been dispensed by the pharmacy.

How It Works

1. A medication is prescribed for a patient.

2. The nurse accesses the treatment sheet.

3. The nurse can chart or record the medication.

4. Pharmacy dispensing can occur later, independent of the charting.

When Enabled

1. Nurses can chart medications before they are dispensed.

2. Supports faster charting during busy or urgent situations.

3. Ensures treatment records are updated without waiting for pharmacy processing.

When Disabled

1. Medications must be dispensed before they can be charted.

2. The system restricts charting until pharmacy confirmation.
