Heads-up
The test must be set to Active to be available when creating an investigation for a patient. An Inactive test will not appear for selection.
How to Set Up a Laboratory Test
Log in as a Laboratory Department user.
Navigate to Setup & Configuration → Setup Test.
Click New.
Enter the Test Name, select the Test Type, and set the Status to Active or Inactive.
Complete the optional fields, such as G-DRG Test Code, Test Group, Machine Name, and MAP.
Pricing Preferences
Enter the prices for Cash, NHIS, Private, and Company.
Enter the Referrer Commission and select Fixed or Percentage.
If required, configure Insurance Specific Pricing, including the agency, coverage amount, and Top-Up.
Test Preferences
Select the required option:
Test report should be displayed as a passage – for scan reports.
This setup is an investigation order set (Group of tests) – to create a parent test containing multiple tests.
Standard Laboratory Test
Add the required Test Parameters.
Enter the parameter name, reference ranges/flags, units, machine code, and common results where applicable.
Add a Guideline, if required.
Click Save.
Investigation Order Set
Select This setup is an investigation order set (Group of tests).
Add the tests to be included under the parent test.
Save the test group.
Update a Laboratory Test
Go to Setup & Configuration → Setup Test.
Search for and select the test.
Update the required details or parameters.
Click Update.
Delete a Test Parameter
Under Selected Parameters, click the Bin icon in the Actions column.
Click Update to save the changes.
