I want to Use Insurance-Specific Prices for Laboratory Services Billing ( Preferences )

This setting allows you to define and apply specific prices for laboratory services based on the selected insurance or company within the system.

Heads Up!
  • Insurance-specific prices must be configured for each laboratory service before this feature will work.

  • If no insurance-specific price is set, the system will use the default insurance price already configured.

How It Works

Each laboratory service can have:

  1. Default Insurance Price

  2. Insurance/Company-Specific Price

When billing a patient under an insurance or company:

  1. If an insurance-specific price is available, the system will bill using that price.

  2. If no specific price is set, the system will use the default insurance price.

Setup

Step 1: Set Insurance-Specific Price for a Laboratory Test

  1. Go to Setup & Configuration

  2. Navigate to Setup Test

  3. Select a test from the Select a Test list

  4. Or create a new test

  5. Scroll down to Insurance-Specific Pricing

  6. Enter the price for each insurance/company

  7. Click Update

When Enabled

  1. Laboratory services are billed using insurance-specific pricing where available.

  2. Ensures accurate billing based on insurance agreements.

When Disabled

  1. All laboratory services are billed using the default insurance price.

  2. Insurance-specific pricing will not be applied.
