A patient must have an activated folder before they can be assigned to a department or doctor.
A patient can be assigned to more than one department in a single day.
If a Specific Attending Doctor is assigned, no other doctor can attend to that patient for that visit unless the assignment is changed.
Steps to Assign a Patient to a Department
Open the patient’s Activated Folder.
Navigate to the Visit Details section.
Locate Select Visiting Clinic/Department.
Click the dropdown and choose the appropriate department for the visit.
Once a Specific Attending Doctor is assigned, the patient will only be visible and accessible to that doctor for the visit.
Steps to Assign a Patient to a Specific Doctor
In the patient’s Visit Details, ensure the correct department is already selected.
Click Specify Attending.
Select the doctor’s name from the list.
Confirm the assignment.
